The target audience and majority of TikTok accounts are in the Gen-Z range. The app has already created many celebrities with the latest being a Louisiana native who achieved fame in the app earning $5 million in 2019.
Amid the viral moments, TikTok continues to face an uncertain future in the U.S. The app’s future is at risk should its parent company ByteDance fail to reach an agreement that will pave the way for its acquisition by a U.S company. U.S Authorities have raised concerns that U.S user’s data in the viral video sharing app is at risk given ByteDance close ties to the Chinese government.
